Janelle Hessig is a Berkeley, California based zinester, writer, comic artist and musician. She first published her zine Tales Of Blarg in 1990. Her artworks have appeared in a lot well known fanzines such as Punk Planet and Maximum Rock N Roll. Her artworks were used for various album covers. She published a free, one-page, monthly fanzine Jank with her housemate Jeff Jank. In 2005, her zine and artworks were featured in the San Francisco art exhibition The Copyist Conspiracy: An Exhibition of Zine Art. Janelle is also a musician and played in a number of punk bands including The Tourettes, Panty Raid, and Baby Jail.
